We are doing some serious sightseeing today. We are headed for the Badlands National Park. The drive south from Wall was through some great stretches of prairie grass.
The scenery leading into the park was beautiful with a beautiful rock formations intermingled with green prairie grasses.
The scenery in the park was spectacular with massive, colorful rock formations as far as the eye could see.

More Badlands

Along the drive we saw lots of wildlife including antelope,
and Big Horn sheep.
And in the far distance we saw a small herd of bison.
There weren't many flowers but we saw a few.
The drive through Badlands took us right by a giant prairie dog town...Robert's Prairie Dog Town.
The town stretched quite a ways into the distance.
Much of our viewing was from a distance but occasionally there were some fairly close to the road. They looked pretty darned cute for a rodent.

We arrived pretty late to Mt. Rushmore. The lighting wasn't the bestbut we definitely wanted to stop for a visit.
